The FIFA World Cup 2022 is set to be the 22nd edition of the quadrennial international men’s football championship, which will be contested by national teams from FIFA member countries.

• It will take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. This will be the first World Cup to be held in the Arab world, and the second World Cup to be held fully in Asia, following the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.
• In addition, the tournament will be the last to feature 32 teams, with a 48-team tournament set for the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.
• France is the current World Cup champion. Due to the extreme heat in Qatar during the summer, the World Cup will be held from late November to mid-December, making it the first tournament not to be hosted in May, June, or July; it will be played over a shorter period of time, roughly 28 days.

• The Government of India has set a target of  22480 MW of installed nuclear power capacity by 2031. 
• At present the installed nuclear capacity in India is 6780 MW.
• The government has approved the construction of 10 indigenous Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) of 700 MW capacity each and 500 MW of Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR).
•  Government expects these projects to be completed by 2031 and the total installed capacity in India will be 22480 MW by 2031. 
• The Government of India  has  also informed the Parliament  that it has approved the proposal to set up a few new Nuclear power plants in India.

• एशिया का सबसे बड़ा नागरिक उड्डयन "विंग्स इंडिया" 24 मार्च 2022 को हैदराबाद के बेगमपेट हवाई अड्डे पर आरंभ हुआ है। 5वें संस्करण का आयोजन केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय और फिक्की (फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्रीज) द्वारा 24-27 मार्च 2022 तक किया जाएगा।
• हालांकि इस आयोजन का औपचारिक उद्घाटन 25 मार्च को केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया द्वारा किया जाएगा।

• Asia's largest Civil Aviation “WINGS INDIA” has started on 24 March 2022 at Begumpet airport in Hyderabad.  The  5th edition of the  event has been organised by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries) from 24 -27 March 2022.
